2018 Winchell Research Projects Presented at St. Thomas
The University of St. Thomas hosted the Annual Meeting and Winchell Symposium on April 21, 2018. A total of 86 students from 17 different colleges and universities presented their research in oral and poster sessions.
Dr. Christy Haynes, Chemistry Professor at the University of Minnesota, gave the keynote address on her work developing sustainable nano materials. Students attended breakout sessions that included a panel on options after college with recent graduates, a discussion of salaries in the sciences, and a tour of the medicinal garden, pollinator path, and science artwork at St. Thomas.
MAS judges gave "best in session" and "judge's choice" awards for exemplary research and Tri-Beta gave awards to some members of the honor society who participated. Student abstracts are available in the MAS Journal of Abstracts.
