Scholarship / Payment Options for Students

Student presenters have three payment options to select from when registering. Please check with your advisor to see if your department or the American Chemical Society will pay your fee. If neither your institution nor ACS is paying your fee, please be prepared to pay the fee yourself when you register. You will submit your abstract as part of the registration process.

Student observers who attend the full day or any activities prior to and including lunch must pay the full registration fee. Those who only attend the student oral and poster presentations after lunch do not have to pay a fee but should still register to receive a name tag.

Student presenter registration options:
1) Pay the registration fee yourself during the registration process.

2) Indicate that your institution is paying your registration fee.
Be sure to verify this in advance! When you register you must provide the name, title, and email address of the person who approved payment so that MAS can send them an invoice.

3) Indicate that you would like to receive a scholarship from the Minnesota Local Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS).
In order for ACS to pay your fee, you must meet the following criteria. (Ask your advisor if you are unsure.)
+You or your advisor is a member of ACS.
+Your research is in chemistry or biochemistry.
+You are among the first seven students to register from your institution.
+You attend an institution within the boundaries of the MN Section of ACS. SEE LIST OF SCHOOLS.
