Deadline extended for High School STEM Communicator Awards

The deadline for the High School STEM Communicator Awards has been pushed back all the way to April 15.

The deadline has been extended because we know how much work students put into their research projects for Science Fair and JSHS, and we want to make sure they have adequate time to prepare their paper submissions as well. That’s why we decided to make the final paper deadline after the State Science & Engineering Fair and North Central Regional JSHS so that they can focus on one thing at a time.

Because we extended the deadline, there is a new component to the awards for the High School STEM Communicator Awards. The Top 10 papers will be invited to present their research at the Winchell Undergraduate Research Symposium alongside undergraduate researchers from area colleges and universities. The Top 10 papers will continue to be eligible for publication in the Minnesota Academy of Science Journal of Student Research and will be honored with a medallion and a $50 cash prize.

Applicants will need to submit an Intent to Apply by March 15. For all the details on applying, please visit http://mnmas.org/hs-stem-communicator-awards.
