Registration Fee Scholarships

The scholarship fund for financially needy students is made possible by a generous grant from 3M and Seagate.

MAS Scholarship Application Process, Rules & Eligibility

Scholarships are available to pay the registration fees for financially needy students to participate in MSSEF/JSHS. Scholarships for MSSEF are $135.00 and for JSHS, $70, a combined total of $205.00. Scholarships are for students residing in Minnesota only. The scholarships will be awarded based on financial need. Financial need will be determined based on National Guidelines for qualification for school lunch program participation.

1-2 scholarships will be awarded per region. Because of limited staff time and short deadlines between the last fair held and MSSEF, the application process, labeling and deadlines will be strictly enforced.  Application deadlines are set individually for each region based on the date of that region’s fair and their MSSEF/JSHS registration deadline.

Scholarship applications must contain a parent signature and date and be scanned, emailed and properly labeled (subject line & document labeled: 2013, Your Name, Scholarship Application) to contact@mnmas.org  or faxed to the MAS office @ 952-545-6336 by the Scholarship Application Deadline Date of the Student’s Regional Fair.
