The Annual Meeting of the Minnesota Academy of Science & Winchell Undergraduate Research Symposium prepares undergraduates to enter science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields by providing a forum for students to showcase their scientific research, receive comments from professional scientists and peers, and network with professionals in the fields they aspire to enter.

All undergraduate students in MN and nearby states engaged in original research are welcome to attend.

There are four main components of the event: a keynote lecture, oral presentations, breakout sessions, and poster presentations.

Guidelines for the 2021 virtual symposium are under development. We strictly adhere to time and space limits (regarding oral and poster presentations, respectively). See previous guidelines for oral and poster presentations

The registration process for student presenters includes abstract submission. During registration, students choose from three payment options: 1) pay their own registration fee, 2) indicate their department will pay their fee (with prior approval), or 3) request an American Chemical Society scholarship. Learn more about registration and view the student registration questions.
