- Promoting Science in Minnesota Since 1873 -
Despite our name, the Minnesota Academy of Science is not a school and we don’t just focus on science! We are a statewide 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
We seek to open doors to STEM for all Minnesotans.
DIVERSITY & INCLUSION IN STEM
Barriers to STEM training and career advancement exist for many Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC) in Minnesota as a result of systemic racism. We pledge to listen and learn, to help identify and dismantle barriers to STEM, and to look for new ways to open doors to STEM for all Minnesotans.
STEM DIVERSITY RESOURCES
Explore the many advocacy, educational, and professional groups open to students, teachers, and STEM professionals.

Just in time for summer, we’ve collected some of the best picture books displaying the diversity of the STEM experience and posted videos of the books being read aloud.
