Welcome Jennifer Hadley as our new Operations Manager! Jennifer’s work to coordinate daily office operations, support staff and programs, and oversee relationships with vendors and volunteers makes her an integral part of the MAS team.
While the name Jennifer Hadley is new to MAS, Jennifer Schuetz (her maiden name) is not. Jennifer contracted with MAS for the 2016-17 season to coordinate the Winchell Undergraduate Research Symposium, Science Salons, and the scientific review committee for the state science fair. After receiving her master’s degree in ecology and environmental science, Jennifer worked as an ecologist, environmental educator, and volunteer coordinator for a nonprofit citizen science program along the Rio Grande based at the University of New Mexico Department of Biology.
Since moving to Minnesota in 2016 (in addition to her previous work at MAS), Jennifer shared her love of math in leading fractal outreach in schools, taught hands-on science curriculum for preschool and elementary students, worked as a project manager for the Food Protection and Defense Institute at the University of Minnesota, and most recently was data coordinator at Friends of the Mississippi River.
Having participated in the state science fair every year but one from 6th through 12th grade and presenting research as an undergraduate and graduate student, Jennifer is excited to be part of MAS events. And we’re so glad to be putting her 20+ years of nonprofit experience to work to advance STEM in Minnesota!
