BECOME AN MAS BOARD MEMBER
MAS Board members promote and support STEM in Minnesota by sharing their time, talent, and treasure. MAS seeks Board members with a willingness to grow and collaborate and a passion for our mission. Board members serve a three-year term and are selected by the full Board of Directors. The President and Vice-President of the Board are elected by the voting members of MAS.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the MAS Board of Directors, please review the MAS Board Roles and Responsibilities (see “LEARN MORE” above) and then complete our online application form (click “APPLY” below). If you do not hear from us within one month of applying, please feel free to contact Lara Maupin, MAS Executive Director, to check on the status of your application.
MAS seeks to build a diverse Board of professionals with experience navigating the STEM environment in Minnesota. We welcome and encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and those with connections to under-served communities and populations underrepresented in STEM. Applicants with expertise in Fundraising, Non-Profit Finances & Financial Oversight, Strategic Planning, and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion will be given preference. Volunteer experience with MAS or related STEM organizations is also preferred.
